On the lung side it is recommended in case of chronic bronchitis, emphysema, asthma, pulmonary sclerosis, especially if combined with Alnus glutinosa. It can also be prescribed to smokers, and to prevent chronic respiratory diseases.
At the hepatic level it is useful in case of liver cirrhosis also of alcoholic origin, hepatic steatosis, post-hepatitis consequences and in all chronic liver diseases. The use of Corylus is also reported in case of iron and hypochromic anemias, as it would be able to stimulate erythropoiesis (with Abies pectinata and Tamarix gallica).
